I think that elite schools are definitely different from neighbourhood schools. If not, why is there a need to categorize them? What I am trying to say is that, students from elite schools and students from neighbourhood schools behave differently and adapt to the different cultures of their schools.

Firstly, students from elite schools usually are more competitive in their studies and work. Let us not talk about those really unhealthy competition among peers, as it is only minor in many cases. Being in healthy competition, in turn, motivates them to work harder and play harder at the same time. Thus, they are able to excel and achieve in the things they do. Peers also motivate each other to do better.

Secondly, students from neighbourhood schools are usually more relaxed and there is almost no competition among peers. They would not feel the pressure to compete. Usually, they are the type of students who live carefree life and not worry about their studies as much as elite school students.

All these are led by the influence of peers and the culture formed from the different schools. There is no doubt that a student's characters are usually developed similarly towards the culture of the schools. Students behave differently and study in different manners. Therefore, elite schools culture are different from neighbourhood schools culture.
